‘Zero male suicides’ support service reveals 2023 goal
Co-founder of WeCare365, Graeme Cowan, has revealed the support service is advocating for zero male suicides in 2023 and shared his own experience with depression.
“In a very, very short period of time my marriage broke down, I lost my job, I had a sense of depression before this time I was just one hundred per cent convinced that I wouldn’t recover, and I did try to take my own life,” he told Sky News Australia.
“This year our theme in 2023 is zero male suicides.
“The top three reasons men try to take their own lives is number one relationship break downs, number two is separation from children, and number three is financial stress.”
