Virtual reality in schools: The educational way of the future.

Students can now test future skills and explore careers with virtual reality career experiences they would never get in the real world.

That includes taking a dive into a South Pacific reef, visit glaciers in Iceland, interact with baby elephants in Kenya or even go to space, as well as performing heart surgery.

Chris Gillard, a virtual reality education and training expert from Mindflight7, said it is the way of the future.

“Virtual reality education is such a great conversion, it’s motivating, engaging, it provides authentic learning experiences for kids, in a really fun way as well,” he said.

He said it was amazing for “training and career exploration” and an emerging area.
